General Info

Jambo! (Hello) We’d like to share some exciting news--God has opened the door for a team of us to go to Africa! We are planning a trip to Tanzania, East Africa this May/June. It is with eager anticipation that we wait to see what God has in store for us.

Please be in prayer for the entire team as we plan for this trip. We are getting immunizations, applying for passports, learning about the Maasai people and their culture, and learning some basic Swahili phrases. The adventure begins! In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

May God bless us as He prepares our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits to serve Him and the Tanzanians. May His Word be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Psalm 119:105

The team is made up of 8 members. We are leaving May 27th for two weeks. Our group will be working with Steve McFarland of Key Connections Ministries. This organization provides resources and support to indigenous pastors. We plan on teaching the local pastors using culturally relevant Bible-based video teachings, followed with small group discussions on real life application of the lessons.

Because of our relationship with you, we are inviting you to partner with us in this exciting adventure. Please consider supporting our team with your prayers and/or finances. The cost of this trip is approximately $3,000 per person. The team’s desire is to raise this money no later than May 1st.

If you would like to make a financial donation to help fund our trip, please send a check to the Glenn Park Christian Church. Checks should be made payable to: “Glenn Park Christian Church.” Please specify on your check that this is for the “Tanzania mission trip.” Your gift is tax deductible. You can mail your check to 2757 S. Glenn, Wichita, KS 67217.

We also sincerely covet your prayers as we prepare to leave and also during our time in Tanzania. You can find specific prayer requests under the Prayer Requests link on the home page of this blog.

We pray God’s richest blessings on you as you joyfully participate with us to further His Kingdom.
Asante sana (thank you very much) for joining with us.

Mungu akubariki (God bless you!)

Sincerely,

The Mission Team Members
